Over the years, The Get-It! had a good many residencies around town, but our most recent one got some asses movin’ at Brooklyn’s annual street fair known as the Atlantic Antic. First on the stage in front of the now shuttered Last Exit, and then in front of the departed Hank’s Saloon, the band kept it going rain or shine. People stuck around to dance and enjoy themselves!

In 2002, Funk Camp presented the Church of Funk, paying homage to James Brown, Sly Stone, George Clinton and other giants of the genre. Our first time on the esplanade, Funk Camp shook booties and blew minds with a heady combination of live, mobile music on the Funkmobile and our seasoned DJ musicologists spinning classic wax inside the church.
